As influencers, you have the ability to share our vision of clean oceans with the world! No challenge is too great when we work together. Being part of our movement brings the excitement of new possibilities, and the chance to change the world for the better!
Below are the rules and guidelines of the Kona West Partner Program. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, as violations could lead to termination of your partnership.
BELOW ARE THE EXACT DETAILS. PLEASE REVIEW THEM BEFORE CONTINUING.
Requirements:
- Own or be a major contributing part of a substantial social following.
- Must not have a felony or serious misdemeanor on their criminal record.
- Must not have any relation or perceived relations to a particular gang or gang members.
- Must not currently be addicted to alcohol or drugs, or currently be using drugs such as cocaine, meth, crack, LSD, etc.
- Must not overtly display strong political affiliations, or affiliations with any prominent political group or groups.
- Must maintain a positive and clean appearance.
- Must have the ability to operate autonomously and within given parameters.
- Must have the capacity to accept Zelle payments or have valid bank account to accept checks (Checks will be dispatched once a balance of $25 or more is owed to you through the Partner Program).
Our Goal:
To share Kona West Beachwear in a positive light, and with enthusiasm on social media and in public. While posting to social media, make sure to emphasize your style with our products, and / or your desire to keep our shores and oceans clean. Doing both in a genuine fashion and not a self-centered or egotistical way is strongly recommended. We firmly believe that a love for our planet comes from the heart. An overall “Beach” theme is suggested but not required.
Some Guidelines:
- Always include “www.konawest.com” and your personal promo code in your posts.
- Always include the appropriate link for each social media post (#KonaWestCo, @kona.west etc).
- Always include the fact that Kona West pledges “up to 30% of profits to ocean cleanup.”
- Make sure to post a picture or video featuring Kona West at least once every 14 days.
- Make sure any photos or videos are clear and well-lit. Try to make sure they’re as high-quality as possible.
- You can post photos or videos of you / your friends at the beach. Make sure your Kona West merchandise is clearly visible.
- Posting pictures or video of aquatic life is a big plus. Zoos or aquariums are great for this.
- Posting pictures or video of you or a group cleaning up beach / ocean debris is a big plus. Emphasize your passion and encourage others to do the same.
- Make sure to always depict some kind of activity in your posts. Be doing something fun or going somewhere interesting, ideally outside.
- Please be appropriately dressed when posting. Bikinis and swimwear are acceptable, so long as all appropriate areas are covered.
- We’re all about positive vibes. Display genuine happiness, a sense of adventure, and a feeling of inspiration when sharing Kona West.
Things NOT To Do
- NEVER scorn, berate, talk badly about, or confront people who leave trash or litter. Many times, litter is cause by mistake or by accident. It is definitely not our job to talk down to anyone. Instead, be kind, and keep our environment clean with an open heart and understanding.
- Do NOT allow for any display or implication of nudity or sexual acts in your posts. This will cause your partnership to be terminated immediately.
- Do NOT depict any drug use or substance abuse in any of your posts. This will cause your partnership to be terminated immediately.
- Do NOT depict, convey or imply any racist, prejudiced, sexist derogatory, or profane statements, actions, beliefs, or suggestions in any of your posts. This will cause your partnership to be terminated immediately.
- Do NOT display or suggest any affiliation with any political party, group, or organization, or display or suggest any political views or political statements.
- Do NOT depict or suggest any crime or illegal act in any of your posts. This will cause your partnership to be terminated immediately.
- Do NOT make posts containing photos or video of places you are illegally trespassing, or illegally taking pictures or recording video. This will cause your partnership to be terminated immediately.
- Do NOT act in an absurd or disruptive way in public. This will cause your partnership to be terminated immediately.
- Do not take pictures or record video of individuals without their express consent.
- Do not include images, property, or trademarks that belong to any company other than Kona West.
Additional Information
Kona West LLC will withhold payment for 40 days to ensure any customer complications have been resolved. In the event of a refund, the Partnership Payment will be revoked and returned to Kona West LLC. Kona West LLC reserves the right to alter, revoke, or withhold any amount due to any Kona West Partner for any reason Kona West LLC deems appropriate. Any Partner who is a member of the Kona West Partnership Program does NOT fall under the category of “Employed” at Kona West LLC. If a Kona West Partnership is terminated, any payments withheld for that Partner will be denied, and returned to Kona West LLC. Kona West LLC reserves the right to terminate any Partnership according to the aforementioned terms, or for any reason Kona West LLC deems appropriate. Kona West LLC cannot be held accountable or liable for any injury or damage to persons or property in which the Kona West Partner was at all involved. Kona West LLC is not responsible for the actions or statements of any Kona West Partner, and any Kona West Partner’s views or actions do not represent the views or actions of Kona West LLC.
